A2Gold Completes 4,400 m RC Drilling at the Taylor Gold-Silver Project in the United States

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 8, Canadian mining company A2Gold announced the completion of its 2026 reverse circulation drilling program at the Taylor gold-silver project in White Pine County, Nevada, USA, with a total of 15 RC drill holes completed for approximately 4,400 m. This is the first round of drilling carried out by A2Gold after completing the acquisition of the Taylor project this year. All samples have been submitted to the laboratory for analysis, and assay results will be released progressively after receipt, review, and interpretation are completed.

The current round of drilling at the Taylor project was launched in July. A2Gold initially planned to carry out 16–18 RC drill holes for a total of approximately 5,000 m, mainly testing the historical silver resource extent and its periphery, near-surface oxidized gold mineralization areas, and gold-antimony and carbonate replacement-type mineralization targets. Ultimately, 15 holes for approximately 4,400 m were completed, and the drilling work has now concluded.

Historical exploration data show that the Taylor project hosts an anomalous gold mineralization corridor of approximately 3 km × 10 km. A2Gold's current drilling also tested the along-strike and down-dip extensions of the historical silver resource, and the company plans to use the results of this round to support a subsequent update of a mineral resource estimate compliant with NI 43-101 standards. The 2018 historical resource estimate included only silver resources and did not account for the project's gold mineralization.

The Taylor project covers approximately 117 km². A2Gold completed the acquisition of a 100% interest in the project in June 2026 and simultaneously completed the consolidation of key mining claims in the area, merging previously fragmented claims into a regional exploration project controlled by a single operator. In addition to gold-silver mineralization, the project also hosts antimony, carbonate replacement-type deposits, skarn, and porphyry-type mineralization targets.

Following the completion of drilling at Taylor, A2Gold has moved the drill rig to the Target Pente target area of the Eastside gold-silver project near Tonopah, Nevada, where it plans to carry out approximately 3,700 m of RC drilling. This round of drilling will test high-grade epithermal feeder faults and vein-hosted mineralization targets, constituting the next phase of the company's 2026 Eastside exploration program.
