Wedoany.com Report-Jun 25, The Sultanate of Oman has authorized the import of poultry meat, offal, and related products from Ukraine, following an agreement on veterinary requirements and certification between the competent authorities of both nations. This development, announced by Ukraine’s State Food and Consumer Protection Service on June 25, 2025, opens a new market for Ukrainian exporters.

The State Food and Consumer Protection Service stated: “From now on, Ukrainian exporters are able to supply the Sultanate of Oman with poultry products that meet the veterinary and sanitary requirements of this country, including the conditions of production, processing, transportation, packaging and labeling.” This ensures compliance with Oman’s standards, enabling Ukrainian producers to meet demand in the region.

This marks the ninth export market opened for Ukrainian products in 2025, reflecting ongoing efforts to expand international trade opportunities. The agreement facilitates the supply of poultry products that adhere to strict quality and safety standards, supporting Ukraine’s agricultural sector.

In a related development, in August 2024, the Kingdom of Bahrain also granted market access to Ukrainian poultry producers, further broadening export opportunities. Additionally, in 2024, the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), part of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, acquired a 12.6% stake in MHP, a major Ukrainian agricultural holding owned by Yuriy Kosyuk. SALIC purchased 13.51 million shares of MHP SE, strengthening ties between Ukrainian agribusiness and international investors.

The opening of Oman’s market is expected to enhance Ukraine’s poultry export capabilities, contributing to economic growth and reinforcing its position in global agricultural trade. By meeting Oman’s veterinary and sanitary requirements, Ukrainian producers can deliver high-quality poultry products to support the Sultanate’s food supply chain.
