The new version comes with preset features commonly used in daily office and development scenarios, allowing users to download and install it directly. It also adds a plugin installation and management page and opens up more configuration options.

The new version further improves file display, content preview, and code change display capabilities. It can handle documents, spreadsheets, and PDFs for organizing materials, analyzing data, generating charts, and creating presentations, and also supports modifying projects and running code. The setup and management features for automated tasks have also been upgraded simultaneously. Users can set repetitive work as scheduled tasks, view execution records, and adjust run frequency and task instructions.

The plugin management page supports installing plugins by directly entering the plugin package name, and allows users to disable, uninstall, and view source information for installed plugins. The experimental creation mode also allows users to describe their needs through conversation, with Harness generating or modifying plugins. According to the model API user metrics disclosed by DeepSeek, approximately 60% of Harness users have already used third-party plugins.

DeepSeek also disclosed that Harness is still in the preview stage, and future development directions include sandbox functionality and security, agent teams, personalized long-term memory, browser and other GUI software automation, as well as remote and mobile use. The DeepSeek Harness-related privacy policy took effect on September 27 and applies to its web and application services.
