en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 7, Indian specialty chemicals manufacturer Patel Chem Specialities submitted a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, confirming that the second phase of expansion at its chemical production facility in Talod, Gujarat, has been completed, with designed annual production capacity increased from 720 tons to 4,500 tons, approximately 6.25 times the original scale. The expansion project involved an investment of approximately 200 million Indian rupees, funded by bank loans and internal corporate funds.

This expansion mainly involves the production of cellulose-based pharmaceutical excipients and specialty chemicals. The company's products are used in applications including pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, cosmetics, and other industrial uses. The company's previous exchange filing described the Talod plant's original annual production capacity of approximately 750 tons as being close to fully utilized. Following this expansion, the plant will schedule commercial operation of the new capacity based on trial production results.

According to the company's disclosed operating projections, the Talod plant is expected to achieve annual operating revenue of 850 million to 1 billion Indian rupees once it reaches maximum capacity utilization. This projection is based on future capacity utilization rates and does not represent sales revenue already realized in 2026.
