Deutsche Telekom Taps IBM Concert for AI Automation in Patch Managament

This initiative aims to enhance the security and efficiency of IT systems serving millions of customers.

An IDC study projects one billion new applications by 2028, driven by AI advancements, increasing the complexity of coordinating updates across development, security, and operations teams. During a pilot implementation, Deutsche Telekom reduced its "Median Time To Patch" for critical vulnerabilities from 80 hours to eight hours, achieving a tenfold improvement. The automated patching process for operating systems now takes a maximum of 20 minutes per instance, down from 90 minutes, freeing IT teams for strategic tasks and innovation.
