An IDC study projects one billion new applications by 2028, driven by AI advancements, increasing the complexity of coordinating updates across development, security, and operations teams. During a pilot implementation, Deutsche Telekom reduced its "Median Time To Patch" for critical vulnerabilities from 80 hours to eight hours, achieving a tenfold improvement. The automated patching process for operating systems now takes a maximum of 20 minutes per instance, down from 90 minutes, freeing IT teams for strategic tasks and innovation.
