en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 12, France-based server manufacturer 2CRSi announced that Aether Infrastructures signed a pre-purchase agreement on October 9 for the Dumarey Powerglide industrial site in Strasbourg, with plans to convert approximately 90 hectares of a former automotive transmission manufacturing base into an artificial intelligence data center and server manufacturing campus. The project is named FR-SXB2, with approximately 110,000 square meters of existing building area, encompassing AI computing facilities, server and computing module manufacturing, and biomass energy systems. The two parties also signed a lease agreement allowing Aether Infrastructures to use the vacated areas starting October 15 to carry out preliminary project preparations.

The site is located at Port du Rhin in Strasbourg and was originally an automotive parts manufacturing facility used by General Motors and Punch Powerglide. According to the development plan, the existing industrial buildings will be converted into high-performance server manufacturing workshops, AI computing module assembly and testing facilities, and data center infrastructure. The campus also plans a mechanical and electronic prototyping center responsible for the design, assembly, integration, testing, and factory validation of servers and AI computing modules.

Server manufacturer 2CRSi plans to deploy production operations for its GODì series servers at the campus. The first phase will involve the integration of core components such as processors, DRAM memory, and SSD storage devices, while the second phase plans to introduce server motherboard manufacturing. The pre-integrated AI computing modules produced at the campus will supply the on-site data center and are also planned for delivery to other customers.

The campus's existing power supply conditions include 25 megawatts of capacity provided by Strasbourg Électricité Réseaux. Aether Infrastructures is studying power supply assurance and battery energy storage configurations with SOCOMEC, and is evaluating biomass pyrolysis power generation and combined cooling, heating, and power systems with Haffner Energy. The project plans to build a server waste heat recovery network, and the related energy facilities will be built in conjunction with the data center and server manufacturing workshops.

Aether Infrastructures intends to have Nhood participate in site renovation, planning permits, and campus development management, while Projex Ingénierie will undertake the engineering design and integration of computing infrastructure. 2CRSi expects that the first-phase computing deployment of the related AI Factory in the 2026–2027 fiscal year could bring it more than 1 billion euros in potential business revenue, a figure that is a corporate business forecast. The final acquisition and closing of the industrial site is still subject to approval by the Port Autonome de Strasbourg.
