en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 28, Canada-based Atico Mining released the 2026 underground drilling results for the El Roble copper-gold mine in Chocó Department, Colombia, with 32 drill holes totaling 1,689.3 meters of drilling completed. Among them, drill hole ATDM-150 intersected an 18.6-meter mineralized interval from a depth of 15.9 meters, grading 7.65% copper and 2.22 g/t gold. The drilling covered the mine's historical mining areas and the surroundings of known massive sulfide orebodies, yielding multiple high-grade copper-gold mineralization results.

Drill hole ATDM-171 intersected a 9-meter mineralized interval at depths of 28.5 to 37.5 meters, grading 8.44% copper and 3.58 g/t gold. Drill hole ATDM-121 intersected a 5.7-meter mineralized interval from a depth of 7.9 meters, grading 8.48% copper and 7.41 g/t gold; the same hole also intersected a 2-meter mineralized interval from 14.3 to 16.3 meters, grading 4.33% copper and 5.35 g/t gold.

Other drill holes also returned multiple high-grade results. Drill hole ATDM-147 intersected a 4.5-meter mineralized interval, grading 16.13% copper and 1.44 g/t gold; drill hole ATDM-140 intersected a 3.45-meter mineralized interval from a depth of 25.65 meters, grading 11.7% copper and 2.55 g/t gold. Drill hole ATDM-161 intersected a 3.9-meter mineralized interval, grading 4.44% copper and 16.46 g/t gold.

The underground drilling mainly targeted unmined mineralized zones within the historical massive sulfide orebodies and extensions near the orebody boundaries. Atico Mining plans to continue drilling through the remainder of 2026 and into 2027, focusing on testing the strike and depth extensions of the orebodies, and plans to update the mineral resource and reserve estimates for the El Roble mine in early 2027.
