Wedoany.com Report-Oct. 21, POWERCHINA has successfully completed the full grid connection of the Guayepo III Photovoltaic Project in Colombia, achieving this milestone six days ahead of schedule. The project faced challenges from two rainy seasons during the electromechanical installation phase, but the team overcame these through careful planning and execution.
The construction team employed a “self-operation + subcontracting” coordinated fulfilment model, enhancing plan execution, resource allocation, and process control. This approach allowed for refined management and efficient organisation of the construction activities.
“Through scientific management and continuous optimisation, the team ensured the quality of the project, and laid the foundation for the project to achieve full grid connection ahead of schedule,” POWERCHINA stated.
The Guayepo III project will generate approximately 183 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy annually. This output is sufficient to meet local electricity demand and contributes to Colombia’s energy transition and emission reduction objectives.
By completing the project ahead of schedule while maintaining high-quality standards, POWERCHINA demonstrates its ability to deliver large-scale renewable energy projects efficiently, supporting sustainable development in the region.
The project highlights the importance of advanced project management and coordination in achieving timely and reliable clean energy solutions, reinforcing the role of solar power in Colombia’s renewable energy strategy.
