Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 9, MaxSolar is enhancing its battery energy storage systems (BESS) partnership with Greenvolt Power, a subsidiary of Greenvolt Group, to support sustainable energy growth and improve the integration of renewable power into Europe’s grid. Key representatives from both companies, including Greenvolt Power COO Jacek Bladek and MaxSolar CEO Christoph Strasser, recently met at MaxSolar’s headquarters in Traunstein, Bavaria, to discuss concrete steps for collaboration.

The partnership is already yielding synergies, according to MaxSolar.

The partnership combines Greenvolt Power’s experience with over 4.7GW of BESS projects and MaxSolar’s local expertise in renewable solutions, with a focus on grid integration. MaxSolar noted that the collaboration is already generating synergies, particularly in the procurement of storage systems, resulting in cost efficiencies, faster deployment, and scalable solutions that advance Europe’s renewable energy transition.

Christoph Strasser said: “The ongoing collaboration once again highlights the close and trusting partnership between Greenvolt Power and us at MaxSolar. Our shared goal is to develop innovative storage strategies that not only drive the transition to a sustainable energy future but also contribute significantly to grid serviceability and flexibility. We are focusing on technologies that enable the efficient storage of renewable energy and its flexible integration into the grid.”

Currently, MaxSolar is developing its first grid-friendly storage solution in partnership with Bayernwerk Netze in Bavaria, Germany. The project aims to demonstrate how advanced storage technologies can stabilize local grids while supporting renewable energy growth.

Jacek Bladek emphasized the strategic importance of battery storage for Greenvolt: “Battery storage is one of the fastest-growing and most strategic areas of Greenvolt’s business, already representing 4.7GWh scheduled to enter operation shortly within our extensive project pipeline. We see storage as essential to building a more flexible, resilient, and decarbonised energy system. Our collaboration with MaxSolar allows us to combine technical expertise and market insight, creating synergies that will undoubtedly accelerate our joint growth and deliver greater value across Europe’s renewable landscape.”

The partnership also leverages opportunities to expand operational efficiency and optimize project delivery across Europe. By aligning technical expertise and local market knowledge, both companies aim to accelerate deployment of BESS technologies, providing reliable storage solutions that support grid stability, flexibility, and decarbonization goals.

Earlier this month, Greenvolt Group won Italy’s largest BESS auction, securing a 15-year indexed tariff for a 499MWh project. This achievement highlights the group’s growing leadership in large-scale energy storage projects across Europe.

Overall, the MaxSolar and Greenvolt Power collaboration reflects a shared commitment to developing advanced energy storage solutions, enabling renewable energy integration, and strengthening Europe’s sustainable energy infrastructure for the long term.
