Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 10, Inter.link, a prominent provider of automation and innovative solutions in the networking sector, has revealed that Vodafone has adopted its platform to introduce an advanced interconnection framework spanning Europe.
The FlexEthernet technology from Inter.link streamlines and accelerates the linkage between diverse networks, enabling entities of varying scales to achieve seamless, dependable end-to-end connectivity.
Vodafone intends to implement Inter.link’s automated platform in select markets, facilitating third-party mobile and fixed broadband operators to rapidly expand capacity within Vodafone’s fixed and mobile access infrastructures to meet their client demands.
Initial rollout commences in Germany, with subsequent expansions targeted at various European regions. Integrating Inter.link’s system at the periphery of Vodafone’s networks permits faster scaling of superior, responsive offerings. This setup empowers Vodafone to prioritize superior services for fellow mobile network operators and broadband entities, enhancing its current carrier services portfolio, while Inter.link’s automation simplifies processes and hastens user onboarding via unified access and instantaneous provisioning.
Theo Voss, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Inter.link, remarked: “The global need for best-in-class connectivity is driven by quality, scale and flexibility – core values of Inter.link’s mission. With our global connectivity platform, we provide the perfect ecosystem for Europe’s top broadband providers, enabling Vodafone to reduce complexity while delivering high-quality interconnectivity at scale.”
This collaboration reflects ongoing sector movements toward streamlined, efficient interconnection models. Notably, Google’s Verified Peering Provider initiative, where Inter.link holds Gold Partner status, echoes these shifts by prioritizing elevated user satisfaction and service standards, alongside notable decreases in operational intricacies.
Beyond Europe, content creators, service operators, internet service providers, and businesses can utilize Inter.link’s automated system to optimize latency, durability, and performance when interfacing with Vodafone’s extensive international network setup.
Inter.link operates as a transcontinental Network as a Service provider, delivering verified carbon-neutral IP Transit, IP Access, Ethernet linkages, and DDoS mitigation services, deployable within minutes. Its AS5405 backbone incorporates over 2,200 peers and delivers low-latency access to online communities. As a certified B Corporation, Inter.link also holds PAS 2060 Carbon Neutral Certification.
The partnership underscores a commitment to responsive infrastructure that adapts to evolving data flows. In Germany, where Vodafone oversees more than 4,000 interconnections, the FlexPeer system—Inter.link’s core offering—replaces conventional physical exchanges, allowing dynamic capacity adjustments via Layer 2 connections without disrupting service continuity.
This transition supports efficient traffic management for activities like video streaming, communication apps, and social platform navigation, bolstering network robustness and curbing administrative burdens.
By year-end 2025, Vodafone aims to shift all German traffic from legacy internet exchange points to this framework, with 2026 extensions to additional territories. Such integrations not only lower peering expenditures but also promote equitable access for smaller operators, fostering a more inclusive digital ecosystem.
Inter.link’s emphasis on sustainability aligns with Vodafone’s wholesale enhancements, ensuring environmentally conscious expansions. The arrangement positions both firms to navigate rising connectivity demands, driven by cloud services and real-time applications, while upholding performance benchmarks.
Overall, this initiative exemplifies how targeted automation can elevate wholesale connectivity, creating value for diverse stakeholders across continents. It reinforces Europe’s infrastructure as a hub for innovative, scalable networking solutions.
