Wedoany.com Report-Dec.18, As of December 12 in the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine has exported 13 million 821 thousand tons of grains and leguminous crops. This volume represents a decrease of 5 million 538 thousand tons, or 28.6 percent, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, according to data published on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Barley exports totaled 1 million 222 thousand tons, marking a 35.6 percent decline relative to the equivalent timeframe last season. Additionally, a minor quantity of 0.2 thousand tons of rye was shipped internationally.

Corn exports stood at 4 million 750 thousand tons, down by 3 million 219 thousand tons, or 40.3 percent, compared to the previous season. Notably, corn shipments in the initial winter month showed improvement, advancing 27.2 percent ahead of the figures from December of the preceding year.

Flour exports amounted to 31.2 thousand tons, equivalent to 41.6 thousand tons in grain terms, indicating a drop of 3.5 thousand tons, or 10.0 percent, versus the same period last year.

These export statistics highlight the ongoing dynamics in Ukraine's agricultural trade for the current marketing year. Grains and leguminous crops continue to form a substantial part of the country's outbound shipments, with wheat maintaining the largest share among the major categories.

The variations observed across crop types reflect differences in production outcomes, domestic requirements, and international market conditions. Wheat, as a primary staple, accounts for over half of the total volume reported to date.

Barley and rye represent smaller portions, with rye exports remaining limited in scale. Corn, despite the overall yearly reduction, demonstrates seasonal strength in recent months, contributing significantly to the aggregate figures.

Flour shipments, while modest in comparison to raw grains, provide an additional channel for processed agricultural products reaching global markets.

Overall, the data underscores adjustments in export pace within the 2025/26 season. Monitoring continues through official channels to track progress against annual projections and prior benchmarks. These volumes support Ukraine's position in international grain supply chains, accommodating both established and emerging demand patterns across various regions.
