Wedoany.com has learned that a European energy company has made the final investment decision on a 225MW agri-PV project near Vizzini in Sicily, Italy.

It is understood that the project, approved in 2023, combines utility-scale solar power generation with agricultural activities. It employs elevated PV structures to support ongoing agricultural production, achieving dual land use. Upon commencing operation by the end of 2027, it is expected to become Italy's largest solar power park.
