San Mateo, California, February 18, 2026 — Nexla announced a strategic partnership with Vespa.ai. This initiative aims to address a key bottleneck in AI application development: efficiently importing production-ready data into scalable, high-performance AI search and retrieval systems.

Enterprises developing AI applications often face data integration challenges, needing to connect and prepare data from diverse sources to power intelligent search and retrieval. The variety of data—such as structured and unstructured, batch and streaming, and modern and legacy systems—adds complexity and slows AI deployment.

Nexla leverages over 500 pre-built connectors to transform diverse data from enterprise systems into production-ready data products for AI, while Vespa provides distributed search, vector retrieval, and real-time inference capabilities to support AI applications at scale. The partnership creates a seamless path from raw enterprise data to intelligent, production-grade AI search.

As part of the collaboration, Nexla has launched native Vespa integration features, including a Vespa connector and the Vespa Nexla Plugin CLI. These tools allow data to flow directly from sources like Amazon S3, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake into Vespa without custom code, and can auto-generate draft Vespa application packages, reducing setup time and errors.

This solution enables teams to migrate vector databases, sync operational data to Vespa, or update indexes via batch or streaming pipelines—all without writing code. This is valuable for organizations building AI search and RAG applications, high-throughput, low-latency systems, and complex ranking and inference pipelines.

Nexla handles data preparation and management, while Vespa performs advanced retrieval, ranking, and inference operations. Saket Saurabh, CEO of Nexla, stated, "In modern AI architectures, data integration and intelligent retrieval are inseparable. Nexla handles data diversity and provides ready-to-use products; Vespa.ai enables real-time search and actionability of that data. The partnership removes friction between data prep and retrieval, helping teams focus on building innovative AI experiences."

Jon Bratseth, CEO of Vespa.ai, added, "Vespa is designed for teams that need precision at scale and real-time control. By partnering with Nexla, we reduce the barriers between data preparation and real-time execution, enabling enterprises to move faster from raw data to production-grade AI search and RAG systems."
