Wuhan Heavy Duty Machine Tool Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as WHHM) is a state-owned heavy-duty machine tool manufacturing enterprise restructured from the former Wuhan Heavy Duty Machine Tool Factory, renowned for its largest product specifications and the most complete product range.
WHHM was one of the 156 key projects during China's "First Five-Year Plan" period and is a major backbone enterprise in China's manufacturing of CNC heavy-duty and ultra-heavy-duty machine tools. Since its completion and commissioning in 1958, the enterprise has provided more than 20,000 major equipment units to industries such as machinery, energy, aviation, aerospace, military, transportation, and chemicals. A range of high-tech products represented by high-speed, high-precision, compound machining, and flexible manufacturing cells have filled domestic gaps, carrying the nation's mission and providing critical "mother machine" equipment for various national economic sectors and key national projects. The enterprise has been awarded the "Outstanding Contribution to the Revitalization of the Equipment Manufacturing Industry" prize by the National Development and Reform Commission.
