Tender Number: RFQ 74155 Project Name: Supply and Installation of a 750kVA Generator for the OR Tambo International Airport Reservoir Substation Contract Duration: Six months Project Description: To provide a backup power solution for critical airport facilities, ensuring power supply reliability. The project includes the supply, transportation, installation, commissioning, and related supporting works for the generator. Mandatory Site Visit Meeting: March 17, 2026, 11:00 Location: Kudu Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, International Terminal, OR Tambo International Airport. Bidders must attend. To access the airport restricted area, arrive 2 hours in advance to obtain a temporary access permit at a cost of ZAR 530 per person (non-refundable). Required Items to Bring: Original ID card, safety boots, reflective vest. Method of Obtaining Tender Documents: Free download from the National Treasury Tender Portal (www.etenders.gov.za) or the ACSA Tender Notice website starting from March 10, 2026. Bid Submission Deadline: April 10, 2026, 11:00 (South African Time) (Note: Page 2 of the document states 12:00, while Page 7 states 11:00. The stricter deadline of 11:00 shall apply.) Bid Submission Requirements: Submit Hard Copies: 1 Original + 1 Copy, each sealed and clearly marked "ORIGINAL" and "COPY". The outer packaging must be sealed and indicate the Tender Number, Project Name, and Bidder's contact information. Bid documents must be completed in full using the official format and must not be reprinted. Bids submitted via telegram, telephone, telex, fax, or email will not be accepted. The bid opening record will be published on the National Treasury e-Tender website. Bidder Qualification Requirements: Must possess a CIDB contractor grading of 3EB/EP or higher. Must provide a valid South African Revenue Service (SARS) Tax Compliance PIN or Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration number. Must provide valid proof of good standing with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA). Evaluation Criteria: Functionality: Total score 100 points, a minimum score of 80 points is required to proceed to the Price and Preference evaluation stage. Scoring items include company experience (20 points), technical personnel qualifications (60 points), project plan (20 points). Price: 80 points. Specific Goals / Preferences: 20 points, covering B-BBEE level, Black Youth/Female-owned enterprises, local enterprises, etc. A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit must be provided. Inquiry Deadline: April 2, 2026 (All queries must be raised before this date) Bid Validity Period: 12 weeks (84 days), calculated from the bid submission deadline. Payment Terms: As per the contract agreement. The successful bidder must provide performance guarantees and insurance certificates as required.
