The GW5-40.5/72.5/126 series double-column horizontal rotary V-type outdoor three-phase high-voltage AC disconnect switch (hereinafter referred to as GW5 disconnect switch) is designed for use in power supply systems with a rated frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz and rated voltages of 40.5kV/72.5kV/126kV. It is used for switching high-voltage lines under no-load conditions, as well as for electrically isolating or connecting high-voltage electrical equipment, such as high-voltage busbars and circuit breakers under maintenance, from or to live high-voltage lines. Additionally, it is used when the operating mode of the power grid system needs to be changed, allowing the switching of busbar transfer currents and the charging currents of voltage transformers, lightning arresters, and other equipment within specified ranges, without interrupting or closing load currents during switching operations.
