By utilizing the precipitation of ultra-hard TiC particles to enhance the wear resistance of steel, its hardness and mechanical properties are comparable to NM450, with wear resistance exceeding 1.6 times that of standard NM450 and over 1.3 times that of NM550. LY Steel successfully completed the task of "industrial production of ultra-thin specification (4×2000mm) NM450SP" under the national key R&D project of the "13th Five-Year Plan," serving as a substitute for high-Cr cast iron, with advantages of high ductility, toughness, and improved wear resistance.
