The smart energy meter is developed as a new-generation product in accordance with the overall requirements of the State Grid Corporation of China for building a "unified and robust smart grid," based on the State Grid's series standards for smart meters. This smart energy meter accurately measures active energy in both forward and reverse directions, energy consumption under different tariffs, and reactive energy in all four quadrants. It features recording of maximum active demand in both forward and reverse directions. It performs real-time measurement and processing of electrical parameters including active/reactive power, voltage, current, power factor, and frequency. The meter supports time-of-use (TOU) metering, automatic meter reading, data storage for energy consumption and demand, load profile recording, event logging, and other advanced functions.
