Nitrate nitrogen (NO₃⁻) is easily and rapidly absorbed by plants. Unlike urea (amide nitrogen), nitrate nitrogen is a nutrient that can be quickly absorbed and utilized. It has high mobility in the soil and can directly reach the plant roots.
