Designed to cut rebar into 16” lengths while making two sequential cuts each time the jaws close, the Rebar Shear is manufactured out of strong, abrasion-resistant, custom-alloy steel, and incorporates ten identical cutting blades which are all 4-way indexable, and two identical piercing tips which are both 2-way indexable offering maximum blade life and utilization. Working off of the excavator hydraulics, this mechanical tool quickly and effectively reduces tangled rebar into dense piles of processed scrap. And because the processed rebar is cut short, the finished product can be blended or sold directly to mills at premium scrap prices. The Rebar Shear is available in two sizes to fit excavators in the 65 - 110,000 lbs. range.
