These tools can be used on vertical or horizontal honing machines and also in certain cases on other processing machines. These types of tools are available for honing diameters of 4 mm and over. They are taper-ground for the single-pass honing process and then pre-honed to the desired shape. Suitable for honing through holes with high diameter-to-length ratios (e.g. connecting rod honing) and for finish-honing parts with interrupted bores (e.g. hydraulic parts). Ideal for processing through holes in soft materials with strict requirements for constant diameter, roundness and surface quality.
