For each specific wheel type different spindle unit solutions have been foreseen, featuring extra-precise rolling bearings, coaxial integrated motors and wheel balancing units mounted in the spindle nose with the aim to operate as much as possible close to the wheel centre. The wheelhead swivelling occurs always automatically, on free angular positions through the CNC controlled B-Axis, with clamping/unclamping system Quick-Clamp (Tacchella Patent). The advanced development of this product has allowed for a complete line of models which differ for the distance between centres so that the most of the grinding operations can be performed. The machine bed and the fixed longitudinal table are modular units with supporting monolithic structure suitably ribbed in order to guarantee thermic and dynamic stability of the machine. The application of the main working slides, Z longitudinal and X traverse, crossed execution has allowed, also in the longest machine sizes to reduce the need of floor space and to improve the arrangement of the fluidic and electric systems, making possible their integration into the machine.
