2507 belongs to the third generation of duplex stainless steels (super duplex stainless steels), with a PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) of ≥41. Its corrosion resistance surpasses that of 904L and 2205, and is comparable to that of 6Mo super austenitic stainless steel (such as 254SMO). It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance and high mechanical properties in harsh environments containing chlorides, acids, and other corrosive agents.
