Carbon black tail gas is typically a byproduct of the incomplete combustion and cracking of high-aromatic hydrocarbons during the carbon black production process, often found in tire manufacturing plants. Due to its complex composition, it cannot be directly emitted into the atmosphere but can be used as boiler fuel. It has low calorific value, high moisture content, and is difficult to burn.
