Foam glass is made from glass powder as the base material, with additives added and then fired to create a lightweight, closed-cell foam body. As an inorganic closed-cell material, foam glass has a low thermal conductivity, stable insulation performance, no water absorption, low water vapor permeability, high strength, light weight, and minimal deformation. It is non-combustible, non-corrosive, and can be cut and shaped, making it ideal for chemical plants with high requirements for fire resistance, explosion resistance, and cryogenic insulation.
