The cage slips can keep the packer in the set state and can withstand upward and downward forces. The sealant can ensure that the packer is set intact under high or low pressure and in irregular casing. The release method is to pull the tubing upward to release.

This packer does not require any mechanical operation on the production string. The packer is lowered to the required depth and a predetermined pressure is applied. The shear pin sets the packer.
