Wedoany.com Report on Feb 27th, U.S. Rare Earths CEO Mark Wal spoke with Steve Darling from Proactive's OTC Studio in New York City about the Halleck Creek rare earth project in Wyoming, outlining the project's significance and long-term potential for domestic U.S. rare earth supply.

Wal highlighted the considerable scale of the Halleck Creek project, noting, "The ore body is 2.5 billion tonnes — that 'B' stands for billion, it's a big number." He compared the project to large, long-life copper porphyry systems, emphasizing its low strip ratio of 0.16 and near-surface mineralization, making it "very, very simple to mine." He further stated the asset has the potential to be "a strategic anchor for domestic rare earth supply in the U.S. for many, many years to come."

Current estimates suggest the Halleck Creek project could supply rare earths for about 100 years, but Wal noted this is a conservative figure. At a lower cutoff grade of 1000 ppm, the resource could extend beyond 400 years, with the ore body remaining open at depth and along strike.

Looking ahead to 2026, the company plans to achieve several key milestones, including completing a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS), initiating a Feasibility Study, submitting state-level permits, and continuing engagement in Washington D.C. to bolster the project's strategic importance.

The Halleck Creek project contains both heavy and light rare earth elements, including terbium, dysprosium, and samarium, which are critical for defense and advanced technology applications. Combined with Wyoming's supportive infrastructure, permitting framework, and collaboration with the University of Wyoming on potential industrial uses for engineered sand by-products, Wal positioned Halleck Creek as a significant domestic rare earth opportunity that could enhance U.S. supply chain independence.
