At the 2026 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, MeetKai and GSMA jointly launched the ModelChorus global online platform. This platform is designed to assist mobile operators and AI developers in evaluating and deploying language AI models, encompassing real-world network and device environments. ModelChorus offers side-by-side model testing, real-time rankings, and sovereign sandbox functionalities, enabling operators to assess model performance based on local languages, regulations, and market demands, with a particular focus on resource-limited languages and regional dialects.
At the event, FiberHome showcased its vision of "Connecting a Brighter, Smarter Future" centered on the integration of optical intelligence. The company highlighted three strategic directions: advanced optical computing infrastructure, seamless intelligent network connectivity, and industry digital transformation. Its new optical interconnection solution improves deployment efficiency by approximately 70%, extends transmission range, and reduces latency in AI data centers. Furthermore, FiberHome introduced energy-saving cooling systems and compact, efficient network technologies, including next-generation antennas and submarine communication systems, to meet the global demand for high-capacity, AI-ready networks.
Nokia announced a collaboration with Finnish operator Telia at the 2026 Mobile World Congress to jointly develop and test AI-driven Radio Access Network (AI-RAN) use cases. This partnership aims to explore the commercial applications of AI-RAN to enhance 5G network performance, efficiency, and reliability, spanning multiple industry sectors including mission-critical services. Both parties will co-design, trial, and validate AI-driven systems to optimize network operations and support emerging AI-powered applications. Live demonstrations of AI-RAN technology were conducted at Nokia's MWC booth.
