Wedoany.com Report-Dec 03,Eurowind Energy is rapidly expanding the number of approvals for wind turbines in Germany.

A total of 37 wind turbines across 11 projects have been approved in the last 12 months.

This includes 19 wind turbines in the city of Bad Berleburg (North Rhine-Westphalia) alone, with a total capacity of approximately 220MW.

Many of Eurowind Energy’s projects in Germany are repowering projects, where older, less efficient wind turbines are replaced with fewer, more powerful modern turbines, ultimately generating significantly more electricity.

“Germany is one of the most important markets for Eurowind Energy, and we aim to make a substantial contribution to Germany’s climate neutrality. The approval of 37 wind turbines in one year is extremely gratifying for us.

“We develop and operate these projects ourselves, which is our core business. We expect to maintain a high pace in obtaining new approvals in Germany,” said Jeppe Udby, Chief Development Officer at Eurowind Energy.

In Germany, Eurowind Energy has six branches and approximately 100 employees.

The main office is located in Hamburg, with additional branches in Marburg, Leipzig, Neuruppin, Rostock and Flensburg.
