According to statistics from the local railway department, as of March 12, the port's annual freight volume has exceeded 3.9 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 20.1%, successfully achieving a "strong start" in the first quarter. As a key hub for westward opening under the Belt and Road Initiative, the Alashankou Railway Port has focused on improving customs clearance efficiency and strengthening cargo source organization. It has innovatively implemented a "human-machine collaboration + precise scheduling" model, reducing container transshipment operation time to within 90 minutes. Simultaneously, it has optimized train marshalling and simplified documentation procedures, ensuring efficient and smooth cross-border customs clearance.

In terms of railway transportation organization, Alashankou Station has focused on key links such as cargo transshipment, train receiving and dispatching, and document translation. It has enhanced port operation efficiency through the "human-machine collaboration + precise scheduling" model. Wang Kai, an engineer from the Technical Department of Alashankou Station under China Railway Urumqi Group Co., Ltd., stated: "We adhere to the principle of 'demand-oriented, proactive action,' moving services forward to enterprises and implementing support on-site. We dynamically adjust transportation organization plans and make every effort to improve on-site cargo transshipment and vehicle shunting efficiency." After the Spring Festival, port freight entered a "volume increase period," with local freight forwarding companies experiencing a simultaneous rise in business. Kong Chuiling, Business Manager of Alashankou Zhengmao International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd., introduced: "After the Spring Festival, the business volume increased by nearly 30% compared to before the holiday. Every day, a large amount of goods such as mechanical equipment and electronic products are shipped to European and Central Asian countries via freight trains."
As of now, the Alashankou Railway Port operates 128 China-Europe (Central Asia) freight train routes, reaching 21 countries and handling over 200 types of goods. Currently, the Alashankou Port is operating at "full capacity and high efficiency," balancing safety production with freight growth. It continues to optimize the customs clearance environment and strengthen service guarantees, laying a foundation for steady annual freight volume growth and contributing to the efficient and smooth flow of the Asia-Europe logistics corridor.
