Wedoany.com Report on Mar 18th, Indian cement producer Max Cement (Green Valley Industries) has signed a renewable hybrid power agreement with renewable energy supplier Fourth Partner Energy. According to the agreement, Fourth Partner Energy will supply 15 MW of wind-solar hybrid power to Max Cement's facilities in Meghalaya to support its operations.

This renewable hybrid power will be delivered via Fourth Partner Energy's Kudligi interstate transmission system park in Karnataka. This arrangement aims to achieve cross-regional power transmission to overcome local resource limitations and ensure the reliability of power supply. By exempting interstate transmission charges, it is expected to effectively reduce operational costs and improve energy efficiency.
Fourth Partner Energy stated, "The cement industry remains one of the most energy-intensive industries globally. Meeting its enormous power demands requires not only standard green solutions but also the scale and flexibility of an interstate transmission system framework."
This collaboration marks a significant step in the energy transition for India's cement industry, utilizing renewable hybrid power to reduce carbon emissions. As the global demand for sustainable development grows, similar agreements are expected to drive more companies to adopt clean energy and optimize their energy mix.
