en.Wedoany.com Reported - Citrix has added AI application delivery security governance features to its NetScaler platform. The new NetScaler AI Gateway enables management of large language model performance and extends existing operational policies and infrastructure controls to AI systems. This update aims to provide the governance visibility and operational confidence required for production environments in enterprise-grade AI deployments.

According to Citrix's announcement, AI Gateway includes three core capabilities. Token-based rate limiting is used to measure and ensure fair consumption between teams and applications. Token latency-based load balancing optimizes performance and reliability by routing inference requests to multiple LLM backends. The spillover routing feature redirects requests to alternative models when token quotas are exhausted. Steve Shah, General Manager of NetScaler, stated that AI Gateway extends enterprises' advantages in the application delivery field into the AI era, enabling organizations to operate AI services with mission-critical deployment standards.

NetScaler simultaneously released the Protecto AI-native data protection platform. This platform adds contextual security capabilities to agent-based workloads and is designed to work in conjunction with AI Gateway. Amar Kanagaraj, Founder and CEO of Protecto, explained that its agent-based data classification can capture content missed by traditional AI security tools, blocking or masking sensitive data before it reaches AI systems without losing the context required for AI operations.

AI Gateway serves as the production environment control layer for Citrix's built-in AI assistant, Aidrien, supporting the operation of AI applications at enterprise scale. With the integration of Protecto and AI Gateway, enterprises can scale their AI deployments while ensuring data risks remain controllable.
