en.Wedoany.com Reported - Amsterdam-based startup VNYX has raised over €1 million in funding to scale its robotics and artificial intelligence system designed to automate fashion resale and reduce textile waste. The funding, a combination of strategic investment and government grants, marks the company's entry into a post-revenue phase, with early commercial deployment already underway.

VNYX positions itself at the intersection of robotics, AI, and circular economy logistics, targeting the fashion industry's operational challenges in handling returns, overstock, and second-hand clothing at scale. The company combines proprietary hardware and AI-driven software to automate garment handling and processing. Its system has already reduced processing time per item from 19 minutes to approximately 3 minutes, with the goal of achieving a "1-minute promise," making resale more efficient than traditional retail disposal methods.

The company's current system, VNYX10, has been deployed with partners including BOAS and Bever, processing up to 10,000 items annually and generating early revenue. Vincent van der Holst, Co-founder and CEO of VNYX, stated: "Beyond the funding, our progress is driven by a world-class team and advisors committed to stopping fashion waste, turning a bold vision into reality in just 12 months."

The company's development is supported by a network of technical and financial partners, including deep-tech investors such as Baltic Business Angels and Squads Fund, as well as engineering partner Spark Design & Innovation. Additional support comes from Stichting DOEN, Earthstar, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, which provided non-dilutive funding to support R&D.

On the product roadmap, the next-generation VNYX100 system is scheduled for delivery to BOAS in June 2026, capable of processing up to 100,000 items annually. The company is also developing the VNYX1000, a system designed to handle over 1 million items per year in industrial resale settings. VNYX Co-founder Romy Goedhart said: "Any brand that wants to get the time down to under a minute can join us now. We dump and burn a truckload of textiles every three seconds, so every second counts. The best time to act is now."

VNYX CFO Guus Balkema stated: "We have proven that fashion resale is not only good for the planet, but also good for the wallet. Our focus now is shifting to scaling up." The company is currently seeking additional investment and partnerships to deploy its robotics and AI systems in larger logistics environments and expand internationally, providing a scalable industrial operational foundation for circular fashion models through automation.
