KazMunayGas and Belorusneft Discuss Technical Cooperation in Oil and Gas Development

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 21, Askhat Khasenov, Chairman of the Management Board of KazMunayGas (KMG), met with Alexander Lyakhov, General Director of Belorusneft, in the capital Astana. The two sides held cooperation talks on oil and gas geological exploration, the application of advanced oil and gas production technologies, and production digitalization, with a focus on the development of hard-to-recover reserves and the improvement of production efficiency in mature oilfields, and expressed their intention to advance joint projects and technical exchanges.

KazMunayGas has identified the development of hard-to-recover oil reserves and the improvement of production efficiency in mature oilfields as priorities for technical cooperation. The two sides discussed the application of advanced technologies in geological exploration, oil and gas production, and production management, and included digital solutions in the scope of cooperation.

Belorusneft is a vertically integrated state-owned oil company whose business covers oil and gas exploration and development, oilfield technical services, oil refining, and sales of refined petroleum products, with operations in Russia, other CIS countries, Asia, and Latin America. At the end of the meeting, the two sides confirmed that they will continue to advance cooperation and exchanges in relevant fields.
