en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Baiyin District Wuchuan 200MW/800MWh Independent Energy Storage Power Station project, invested by Gansu Yisen Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd., has officially commenced construction. The project is jointly undertaken by China Energy Engineering Group (Gansu) Engineering Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Construction Engineering No.16 Construction Co., Ltd. Located in Wuchuan Township, Baiyin District, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, the project has a total investment of 1.012 billion yuan. It plans to build a new 200MW/800MWh energy storage power station, along with a supporting 330kV step-up substation and access roads. The energy storage power station adopts a prefabricated cabin layout, comprising 160 sets of 5MWh energy storage battery containers and 40 sets of 5MW step-up integrated cabins. The project will connect to the 330kV Wuchuan collection station via one 330kV circuit, with one 330kV bay expanded at the Wuchuan step-up substation. The step-up substation and the energy storage station will be constructed in the same site but in separate zones, and are expected to achieve grid connection by the end of December 2026.

Once operational, the project will help increase the local consumption ratio of new energy, improve the power quality of new energy on the grid, enhance the grid's peak-shaving capacity, and ensure electricity demand through improved power supply quality, thereby promoting regional economic development and supporting the transformation and upgrading of Baiyin District's energy industry as well as the achievement of the "dual carbon" goals. This energy storage power station is a landmark project for the contractor's entry into the northwest new energy infrastructure sector. The project construction party stated that it will take this opportunity to fulfill the social responsibilities of a state-owned enterprise, anchor the direction of green development, and ensure the project's high-quality and efficient completion through high-standard construction, high-quality management, and efficient progress, striving to create a green, low-carbon, safe, and reliable benchmark demonstration project. In the future, the contractor will continue to implement the "Four New" strategy, execute the "11311" work policy, adhere to the general work tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, and expand the company's development landscape based on ongoing projects.
