en.Wedoany.com Reported - At a recent milestone achievement conference held in Beijing, the National Artificial Intelligence Application Pilot Base (Medical) showcased the latest progress in precision diagnosis and treatment, as well as biomedical manufacturing. In May 2025, with the support of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Government, and the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, China Unicom established Beijing Medical Health Large Model Co., Ltd. to undertake the construction of this base. Leveraging China Unicom Cloud, the Xingluo computing power scheduling platform, the Wanxiang industry-trusted data space, the Yuanjing MaaS and Wanwu intelligent agent development platform, and the Mogong security operations platform, the base has built a full-stack common support capability for medical artificial intelligence.

Miao Shouye, Vice President of China Unicom, stated at the conference that the company has developed a full-stack medical digital and intelligent service capability in the field of smart healthcare, establishing strategic cooperation with the National Health Commission, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the National Disease Control and Prevention Administration. China Unicom has also been designated by the National Data Administration as the lead unit for building high-quality datasets in the healthcare industry. Its achievements have been selected by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council as one of the first batch of high-quality dataset construction achievements in the healthcare industry by central enterprises and one of the first batch of high-value strategic artificial intelligence scenarios by central enterprises. To date, China Unicom has created nearly 100 major livelihood demonstration projects in the medical field, serving over 5,000 medical institutions at all levels.

Based on China Unicom's core technology platform, the base has collaborated with multiple leading tertiary hospitals and ecosystem partners to launch expert-level specialized disease intelligent agents in fields such as ophthalmology, pediatrics, neurology, cardiovascular diseases, and nephrology. These intelligent agents include a screening and diagnosis agent for blinding eye diseases and major chronic diseases in collaboration with Beijing Tongren Hospital, a cardiovascular disease ultrasound diagnosis and decision-making agent with Beijing Anzhen Hospital, a specialized disease intelligent agent matrix with Peking Union Medical College Hospital, a co-created kidney disease comorbidity-assisted decision-making agent with Peking University First Hospital, an AI pediatrician with Beijing Children's Hospital, and a cranial full-disease CT image-assisted diagnosis agent with Beijing Tiantan Hospital.

Leveraging China Unicom's computing power, data, platform, and security capabilities, these expert-level intelligent agents are being extended from tertiary hospitals to grassroots institutions to alleviate the workload of doctors.

During the conference, China Unicom released the Billion-Yuan Support Plan for High-Quality Datasets. The plan establishes over 100 million yuan in special support funds, targeting medical institutions and ecosystem partners, aiming to create a batch of industry high-quality datasets, facilitate billion-yuan-level medical data transactions, and incubate high-quality medical AI applications and ecosystems. Currently, the base has developed over 150TB of industry high-quality datasets in more than 10 specialized disease fields, achieved data transaction volumes exceeding 10 million yuan, and served over 30 pharmaceutical research and development pipelines.
