Aviat Partners with Nextlink to Expand BEAD Rural Broadband in the U.S.

Nextlink Internet, which serves commercial and residential users across 12 states, will deploy Aviat's high-performance microwave, E-band, and multi-band systems to extend connectivity to thousands of unserved and underserved locations within its coverage area.

Nextlink has secured over $180 million in BEAD funding, in addition to $429.2 million previously awarded by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) through the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF), enabling the company to significantly expand its fixed wireless and fiber-supported network infrastructure. Nextlink recently launched its first wireless tower funded by the BEAD program. As part of this initiative, Nextlink extended and expanded its existing agreement with Aviat to help reduce the total cost of ownership of its network.
