en.Wedoany.com Reported - Norwegian offshore vessel owner Eidesvik Offshore has signed a new platform supply vessel framework agreement with Aker BP, securing a new long-term work arrangement for the vessel Viking Prince.

This transaction extends the partnership established between the two parties since 2019 under a PSV framework agreement. Under the new agreement, Aker BP has awarded a three-year firm contract for the 2012-built PSV Viking Prince, with further extension options. The contract will commence immediately after the vessel's current engagement with Aker BP concludes. Financial details were not disclosed.
Helga Cotgrove, CEO of Eidesvik, stated: "We are very pleased to continue our close collaboration with Aker BP. The new framework agreement builds on the safe and stable operations of our crew and vessels over many years, aligning with our strategy to secure long-term contract backlogs with quality counterparties, while also creating value for shareholders."
Viking Prince has previously worked for Aker BP through a series of contracts and extensions. In February, Aker BP extended the firm period for this LNG battery-powered hybrid PSV until the end of April. The signing of the new agreement further strengthens Eidesvik's position in the offshore supply services market on the Norwegian continental shelf, providing longer-term revenue visibility.
