en.Wedoany.com Reported - GXO Logistics, Inc. has signed a five-year transport contract extension with Co-op, one of the world's largest consumer cooperatives, extending their supply chain partnership into a second decade.
The agreement covers GXO's transport operations in Avonmouth, Andover, and Greenfield, supporting deliveries to over 1,000 Co-op stores across the UK.
"This renewal reflects the exceptional service and operational leadership the team has provided to this long-standing partnership," said Chris Hyde, Managing Director of GXO UK&I's Food and Beverage division. "Our scale and expertise in the UK and Ireland enable us to deliver continuous improvements to Co-op's supply chain. GXO will continue to work closely with Co-op to enhance the efficiency, service, and resilience of its transport network, integrating best practices and innovative solutions from the company's fast-moving consumer goods operations.
Over the past year, GXO colleagues in Co-op's transport network contributed more than 1,500 hours of volunteer service. The GXO team also raised thousands of pounds for local and national charities, including Barnardo's and the British Heart Foundation.
GXO continues to collaborate with three Co-op Academies through mentoring, employability workshops, and on-site engagement, supporting Co-op's skills and community initiatives through the Apprenticeship Levy.
