en.Wedoany.com Reported - DOF Group has secured a contract from TotalEnergies for subsea installation, mooring, and floating storage and offloading (FSO) replacement operations, as part of the FSO Unity replacement project.

With this contract, DOF Group's recent projects in the Atlantic region have further increased. According to DOF Group, the contract value ranges between $50 million (NOK 493.98 million) and $100 million.
The Unity FSO is part of the Amenam/Kpono field, located approximately 30 kilometers offshore in the eastern Niger Delta, which began production in 2003. For the FSO Unity replacement project, DOF Group will be responsible for the engineering, transportation, and installation of the new mooring system, as well as related subsea installation operations. The project will utilize four vessels, with an estimated cumulative offshore operation period of approximately 330 vessel days.
The Unity FSO is flagged in Nigeria, with a total length of 298 meters and a width of 62 meters. Offshore operations are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027 and the first quarter of 2028. Project management and engineering work will commence immediately, with teams stationed at DOF's offices in Aberdeen, Scotland, and Bergen, Norway.
Mons Aase, CEO of DOF Group, expressed delight that the Atlantic region has secured this significant contract from TotalEnergies. The contract reflects DOF's strong track record in safely and efficiently delivering complex mooring and subsea installation projects, supported by the company's integrated services and experienced team. He noted that this is an important addition to DOF's order backlog and further strengthens the long-term partnership with TotalEnergies.
DOF Group stated that the project will leverage its fleet and personnel from various business units. Earlier this year, DOF Group secured a contract from MODEC Guyana for mooring pre-lay services for the Hammerhead floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) project in Guyana.
