The project will feature a 9-hectare forest park, 3.2 kilometers of walking trails, five-star hotels, villas, and residential units. Additional amenities include heliports, sports facilities, and a yacht club. Gocha Kamkia, chief executive of Ambassadori Island Batumi, shared the vision: “Our ambition is to create a destination that reflects the forward-looking spirit of Georgia – one that is open, innovative and deeply connected to its environment.”

UK-based consulting firm Arup is overseeing the design of the buildings and the overall planning of the development. The project overcame earlier hurdles related to its potential impact on shipping, securing necessary approvals to move forward. Ambassadori Island will be showcased at Dubai’s International Property Show, highlighting its global appeal.

Batumi has seen a 20% annual increase in tourism, boosting local interest in such developments. In 2024, foreign investment in Georgian real estate grew by 40%, supported by new direct flights to Dubai. Of the project’s $100 million budget, approximately $40 million came from international investors, reflecting confidence in Georgia’s growing tourism sector.

The Ambassadori Island project aims to blend luxury with sustainability, offering modern facilities while preserving the area’s natural beauty. By integrating green spaces and eco-friendly design, it seeks to attract visitors and residents who value both comfort and environmental harmony. The development is expected to create new opportunities for local businesses and elevate Batumi’s status as a key tourism hub in the region.

With construction underway, the project represents a significant step in Georgia’s efforts to expand its tourism infrastructure. The combination of innovative design, international expertise, and substantial investment positions Ambassadori Island as a landmark development, poised to contribute to the economic and cultural vitality of Batumi.
