The project was officially put into operation on June 30 after a 168-hour trial run. Meanwhile, the first unit of the Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station, the world's highest dam, was connected to the grid for power generation on June 26.

Baowei Electric Power supplied 14 converter transformers for the Baotashan Converter Station of the Shaanxi-Anhui project. Leveraging its mature and comprehensive converter transformer design and manufacturing system, the company has continuously promoted the domestic substitution of raw materials and core components for converter transformers. While ensuring the completion of equipment development tasks with high quality and quantity, it has also secured the autonomous controllability of the core material supply chain. The Shaanxi-Anhui project is a key project in the national "14th Five-Year Plan" for power development. As a critical project in the "West-to-East Power Transmission" and "Three AC, Nine DC" strategies, it is of great significance for promoting the intensive development of the energy base in northern Shaanxi, ensuring reliable power supply to East China, and serving the "dual carbon" goals.

The Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station has a dam height of 315 meters, ranking first among similar dam types in the world. Baowei Electric Power has manufactured four 500 kV main transformers for the station. To meet the special requirements of the project, modular on-site assembly technology was adopted, effectively solving the transportation challenges of large transformers in mountainous canyon areas. The electrical and structural designs were optimized to adapt to harsh environments such as high altitude, high seismic intensity, and large temperature differences between day and night, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the products. The Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station is a key project in the national western development strategy and one of the main water intake points for the "South-to-North Water Diversion" West Route project. After its operation, it will enhance the flood control and storage capacity of the Dadu River basin, optimize the power structure of the Sichuan power grid, and provide support for the economic and social development of western Sichuan and the transmission of clean energy.
