en.Wedoany.com Reported - Marubeni Corporation has completed the acquisition of EagleRidge Energy, one of the largest operators in the Barnett Shale play and the third-largest producer in the region.

Dallas-based EagleRidge operates over 3,500 wells across approximately 450,000 gross acres in North Texas, with a daily production of about 300 million cubic feet equivalent (MMcfe/d).

Marubeni stated that the acquisition supports its strategy to expand its energy operations and natural gas assets in North America. The deal follows a series of acquisitions completed by EagleRidge since September 2024, which have expanded its footprint in the Barnett Shale.

EagleRidge said its existing management and operations team will remain in place after the acquisition to support continued growth and operational continuity. As part of the transition, Tom Ashton and Sam Miller have been appointed co-presidents, Hiroki Shima will serve as chairman, and Michael Ronca will serve as vice chairman. EagleRidge will continue to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Marubeni.
