en.Wedoany.com Reported - On the 8th, the nation's largest full-rotation semi-submersible crane vessel, "Sihang Yongsheng," was officially delivered in Jiangmen, Guangdong. The "Sihang Yongsheng" is a non-self-propelled semi-submersible barge integrating lifting and maritime transport functions, combining the strength of "Popeye" with the carrying capacity of a "sea freight truck."

The "Sihang Yongsheng" was invested in and constructed by CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. This vessel is currently China's largest full-rotation semi-submersible crane vessel, measuring 110 meters in length, 43.8 meters in beam, and 8 meters in depth, with a deck area of 4,800 square meters, equivalent to an entire floor of a large logistics center's warehousing area. The stern is equipped with a massive full-rotation luffing crane, capable of safely lifting 2,200 tons of cargo when fixed for stern lifting, equivalent to hoisting 1,500 family cars at once. Additionally, the vessel has a lifting capacity of 20,000 tons, able to support over 3,000 adult elephants, and can transport 10,000 tons of objects.

Huang Chenguang, Chief Engineer of the project at CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering's Hangtong Company, introduced that the "Sihang Yongsheng," with its full-rotation operation mode, can efficiently perform lifting operations for oversized and ultra-heavy components such as large offshore steel structures, wind power jacket foundations, and heavy bridge segments. It is adaptable to various complex marine engineering scenarios, effectively addressing industry pain points such as high construction difficulty, low lifting efficiency, and numerous operational constraints for large offshore components.

Beyond core heavy lifting operations, the vessel can also adjust its draft depth, allowing the hull to submerge steadily and function as a semi-submersible barge. Once large components to be transported are guided into position, the hull rises, securely lifting up to 10,000 tons of cargo.

The "Sihang Yongsheng" successfully breaks through the functional limitations of equipment, integrating lifting machinery with a semi-submersible barge to achieve dual functionality of lifting operations and cargo transport. The completion and delivery of this vessel will strongly support the construction of major projects in western Guangdong and the Beibu Gulf Rim region, significantly reducing engineering costs, and playing a key role in areas such as deep-sea wind power development, large-scale marine ranching construction, and deep-sea resource exploration.
