en.Wedoany.com Reported - SolarEdge Technologies Inc., a global smart energy technology company, announced that its latest residential solar and energy storage platform, SolarEdge Nexis, is now open for orders nationwide in the United States.

The system was previously launched in Germany, where it reportedly achieved record order volumes and strong demand from installers. This single-phase system features a Lego-like stackable energy storage architecture and a simplified installation process, making it popular among European customers and contractors. Company officials stated that the new system is designed to address long-standing challenges in battery storage installation. Nexis is built from the installation experience, aiming to reduce installation time, offer flexible equipment placement options, and minimize the electrical system upgrades required for residential batteries.

Nick Alex, Vice President of North American Residential Sales at SolarEdge, said that Nexis is the company's most anticipated residential product launch, integrating years of innovation and customer feedback to make photovoltaic plus energy storage systems more powerful, intuitive, and easier to deploy. With orders now open in the U.S., the company hopes to help installers and homeowners experience this new platform.

According to SolarEdge representatives, the battery already adopts a DC-optimized architecture, and the new system offers higher power density while maintaining high reliability and efficiency during both low-power and high-power periods.

SolarEdge Nexis Residential Battery System

In addition to the Lego-like stackable battery architecture, the Nexis battery is equipped with a range of new features for easy installation and use. The company stated that this residential inverter is highly efficient, designed to help homeowners save on electricity bills, especially during low-power operation. The inverter provides up to 13 kW of grid-tied power and 14.5 kW of off-grid power, with battery capacity expandable from 5 kWh to 80 kWh. The system is fully manufactured in the United States, aiming to help contractors and projects meet domestic requirements such as foreign entity of concern restrictions.

Tate Abdon, Installation Director at Senga Energy, said that before the launch of Nexis, battery installation required extensive planning and labor, making the process time-consuming and labor-intensive. With the IslandDER option, there is no need to configure backup load panels in many applications, reducing labor and material usage and simplifying installation. The modular battery design is also a major advantage, as employees no longer need to handle and lift 300-pound batteries; instead, they install lightweight modules with built-in handles, eliminating the need for battery lifts.

SolarEdge officials revealed that Nexis is designed to reduce wall space usage by up to 40% in typical American homes. A single inverter platform covers all residential installation scenarios, with power ranging from 3.8 kW to 13 kW. Abdon added that this flexibility also provides more freedom in installation locations, enabling cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing installations without traditional clearance constraints, ultimately allowing for faster installation with less conduit use and wall clutter. The company stated that SolarEdge Nexis is now accepting orders nationwide in the United States. SolarEdge will host a "Nexis Takeover Day" live event on July 15 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and registration is available on the company's website.
