Emirates A380 to Make Inaugural Flight to Delhi, India in October 2026
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Emirates is deploying the Airbus A380 on the Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) route for the first time. Starting October 25, 2026, the aircraft will operate flights EK512 and EK513, a route currently served by the Boeing 777. Passengers will then have the option to choose between the A380 or the Boeing 777 for travel to Delhi, both featuring a four-class cabin configuration.
This move makes Delhi the third A380 destination for Emirates in India, following Mumbai and Bengaluru. The airline stated that it aims to expand its footprint in India, driven by strong round-trip travel demand.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the airline's long-term commitment to India is reflected in its continuous introduction of the latest products to enhance the travel experience. He expressed delight in introducing A380 service to Delhi, a key gateway in the network, starting in October, "which is a testament to our partnership with India and our commitment to customers."

The airline's Boeing 777 fleet will continue to operate flights EK511, EK515, and EK517 from Dubai to Delhi. From October 2026, flights to six Indian cities—Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Kochi—will offer Premium Economy class.
Kazim added that the airline is offering Premium Economy products more broadly across India, covering six gateway cities and accounting for about half of the weekly scheduled flights, with a range of other service upgrades also in the pipeline.
Additionally, starting October 25, 2026, Emirates' daily flights EK570 and EK571 between Kolkata and Dubai will be operated by the airline's Airbus A350, replacing the Boeing 777. Flights EK572/573 will operate five times a week using a four-class retrofitted Boeing 777, meaning all 12 weekly flights between Kolkata and Dubai will offer Premium Economy class.
