As an alternative, OpenAI first launched a ChatGPT extension for Google Chrome. This extension can analyze the content of open web pages, answer text-related questions, generate summaries, or perform more advanced tasks without needing to switch to a separate application. This feature will directly compete with Gemini in Chrome. At the same time, OpenAI is developing a desktop version of the ChatGPT application, which will be equipped with more advanced web browsing capabilities, allowing users to access websites, log into services, download files, and perform various operations within the app without switching programs.
