en.Wedoany.com Reported - Unifique has appointed Marcelo Siena as Director of Operations, Business, and Expansion for its subsidiary in the state of Paraná. The subsidiary was established in March this year to strengthen the company's business presence in Paraná.

The operator stated in a press release that the executive will focus on expansion, strengthening regional operations, and developing partnerships with local broadband providers.
The company noted that the executive's appointment reinforces the positioning of Unifique Paraná, a state considered strategic for the company's expansion. The operator has been expanding its fiber optic infrastructure and proprietary network to meet the growing demand for high-performance connectivity in inland cities and metropolitan areas.
Currently, Siena serves as President of Redetelesul, an association of regional internet providers active in Paraná. He is also the founder of iSuper Telecom, which was acquired when Unifique Paraná was established. In April this year, Siena was also elected Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Neo Association.
The executive has also served on the advisory board of Anatel and as an advisor to the Management Committee of the Telecommunications Services Universalization Fund (Fust).
According to the first-quarter financial report, Unifique has approximately 9,000 broadband users in Paraná, accounting for about 1% of the operator's total subscriber base. The company also holds a license to operate 5G in Paraná, having previously acquired spectrum resources originally belonging to Ligga.
