2026 Asia Automotive Lightweighting Exhibition Opens in Shanghai, Featuring Over 680 Exhibitors

en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 2026 Asia Automotive Lightweighting Exhibition (Lightweight Asia 2026) opened on July 8 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

This edition of the exhibition brings together over 680 domestic and international enterprises, with improvements in exhibition scale, exhibitor quality, and product categories. Key players in the aluminum sector include Aluminum Corporation of China (Chalco), Hongqiao Group, Nanshan Aluminum, Huajian Aluminum, and Mingtai Aluminum, showcasing products such as battery aluminum foil, body extrusion profiles, integrated die-cast aluminum alloys, chassis lightweight structural components, and new energy electric drive housings.

In the magnesium sector, exhibitors such as Baowu Magnesium, Yinguang Huasheng Magnesium, and Bada Magnesium are present, displaying ultra-high-strength die-cast magnesium alloys, lightweight electric drive housings, and magnesium alloy interior and exterior trim components. Metal processing and precision forging companies like Zhongfu Industrial, Shunbo Aluminum Alloy, and Zhuoyue Forging have also made appearances. International brands including ALUMEX PLC, HAVEL, and APAL are also featured at the exhibition.

On July 9, the exhibition launched two major professional forums, focusing on new energy vehicles and intelligent manufacturing robots. At the 7th Automotive Lightweighting Process Technology and Related Materials Innovation Application Forum (New Energy Vehicle Session), companies such as Shanghai Ruiman, Ebner Industrial Furnaces, Jiangxi Haosite, Pufeite Electromagnetic Technology, ABP Induction Systems, and Zhejiang Yuanzheng New Energy Commercial Vehicles shared insights on topics including heat treatment technology, precision forming processes, and specialized forming equipment.

At the concurrently held 2nd Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Future Innovation Forum (Robot Session), organizations including Mias Logistics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Guangzhou Huohua Robotics, Titan Tiger Robot Technology, and Zhongsheng Chuangke discussed topics such as intelligent upgrades in non-ferrous metal factories, commercialization of industrial robots, and embodied intelligent vision control technologies.

A lightweighting business matching event was set up at the exhibition venue, utilizing pre-registration data for categorized matching and establishing a one-on-one negotiation area. On the opening day, a total of 598 business matching sessions were completed on-site.

This exhibition collaborated with automotive industry associations, overseas OEMs, and international parts purchasers from over 100 countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, and Turkey, attracting a total of 2,425 overseas professional visitors.

The exhibition remains open to the public until July 10.
