en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 100MW/400MWh grid-side independent energy storage station in Liangzhou, Gansu, constructed by Wujian Tianyu, has been successfully energized and completed a 24-hour full-load trial operation, with core indicators meeting standards, officially qualifying for grid connection.

Since the project commenced in September 2025, the project team implemented a three-tier quality control system, three-stage inspection procedures, and on-site supervision of concealed works under conditions of extreme winter cold and multi-disciplinary cross-construction. They coordinated civil engineering, electrical, transmission line, and system commissioning tasks across multiple disciplines. The project completed the construction of 16 sets of 6.25MW/25MWh energy storage units, installed 64 energy storage cabins and 16 PCS cabins, and deployed 35kV prefabricated cabins, a 120MVA main transformer, GIS, SVG equipment, and two 2.8-kilometer 110kV double-circuit transmission lines.

During the energization and trial operation phase, Tianyu Company collaborated with multiple parties to overcome challenges, completing equipment impact tests, protection calibration, full-station joint commissioning, and load testing. The station's communication, measurement, control, and protection systems operated normally, with core equipment such as the main transformer, transmission lines, and energy storage cabins running stably. Parameters including grounding, airtightness, and insulation all met grid connection standards.
As Wujian Tianyu's inaugural project in the new energy storage sector, located in the Hexi Corridor, this project aims to support the stable operation of the Hexi "Gobi and Desert" New Energy Base and ensure the stable transmission of the "Gansu Electricity to Zhejiang" UHV channel. Once officially operational, the station will perform peak shaving and valley filling, frequency and voltage regulation functions, smoothing the fluctuation of wind and solar output in the Tengger Desert area, enhancing regional new energy consumption capacity, and reducing curtailment of wind and solar power. Subsequently, the project will ensure safe station operation through on-site patrols and closed-loop rectification and maintenance mechanisms, and systematically summarize the construction experience of large-scale energy storage stations in cold desert regions to form replicable standardized construction standards.
